Request customs advisory in Türkiye

For an import or export project, Ratin helps frame the commercial requirement, organise available information and coordinate questions with your chosen licensed customs broker. Our advisory role is separate from filing declarations or deciding customs clearance.

What to include in a customs consultation request

  • Product description and intended use, including rock salt where relevant.
  • Country of origin, destination and planned shipment timing.
  • Available invoices, packing information and supplier documents; note any missing information.
  • Your current customs question and whether a licensed broker is already involved.

Select customs preparation & coordination in the form. Do not send confidential documents with the initial inquiry; describe what is available so the team can discuss the scope and appropriate next steps. Duty rates, tariff classification and clearance outcomes require product-specific review by the responsible professionals.

Ratin advisory: choose the support your project needs

Ratin Teknoloji Group is an independent Istanbul-based B2B advisory and facilitation team. An inquiry helps us discuss a defined scope; it does not confirm project acceptance, supply or customs outcomes.

Customs advisory in Türkiye

Include the product, origin, destination, timing and documents already available. Ratin supports preparation and coordination with your chosen licensed customs broker, not customs declarations.

Rock salt advisory and sourcing coordination

Choose international trade facilitation in the form and describe the intended use, destination, packaging and proposed quantities. Supplier evidence is needed for specifications and availability; Ratin is not a salt seller.

Understanding your customs question before a consultation

Ratin Teknoloji Group is an independent Istanbul-based B2B advisor and facilitator. Business consulting, marketing and market-entry planning remain central to our work; customs preparation supports projects with an import or export requirement.

For a rock salt or other goods inquiry, start with the intended use, technical description, origin, destination and available supplier documents. Compare the invoice and packing list, and identify questions about GTİP classification, A.TR or origin before discussing the shipment with your chosen licensed customs broker.

Ratin helps organise information and coordinate questions. It does not sell commodities, act as a licensed customs broker, issue binding tariff decisions or guarantee clearance. Product-specific conclusions and official procedures remain with the responsible professionals and authorities.

Customs terminology: a practical glossary

General definitions for preparing questions, not shipment-specific determinations. Confirm current requirements with your chosen licensed broker and official sources.

GTİP — Turkish tariff classification
GTİP identifies a product's position in Türkiye's tariff nomenclature. Classification requires a technical description and relevant supporting information, not only a product name or a supplier's suggested code.
BTB — binding tariff information
BTB is an administrative classification decision issued following an application to the competent authority. It is not an origin decision, a supplier certificate or a general approval for customs clearance.
Origin versus country of dispatch
Origin concerns where goods originate under the applicable rules. The country from which they are shipped does not by itself establish origin; prepare supporting information for review.
A.TR — free circulation
A.TR concerns free-circulation status within its applicable Türkiye–EU customs-union scope. It is not a certificate of preferential origin and does not by itself remove every tax or restriction.
Commercial invoice and packing list
The invoice records commercial details; the packing list describes how the shipment is packed. Compare product descriptions, package counts and clearly labelled net and gross weights, and ask document issuers to resolve inconsistencies.
Incoterms and the named place
Record the agreed commercial delivery rule and named place to discuss transport, insurance and clearance responsibilities. Incoterms do not replace customs documents, determine origin or establish a tariff classification.
